Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2025

Short version: the app does not collect your personal information, does not require an account, and stores all your food logs on your device only.

About this policy

This privacy policy explains how the 40 Foods Challenge Android app ("the app") handles your data. The app is developed by Untitled Applications and is available free on Google Play.

By using the app you agree to the terms described here.

What the app stores on your device

The app saves the following data locally on your device only. None of this is sent to us or any server:

This data is deleted if you uninstall the app.

What we do NOT collect

Third-party services

The free version of the app displays ads provided by Google AdMob. Google may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve relevant ads. This is governed by Google's own privacy policy, which you can read at policies.google.com/privacy.

You can remove all ads with a one-time purchase through Google Play Billing. Any payment details are handled entirely by Google — we never see or store your payment information.

To opt out of personalised ads, you can adjust your ad preferences in your device settings under Google → Ads.

Notifications

The app can send you an optional daily reminder in the evening to log your food. This requires notification permission on Android 13 and above. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.

Children's privacy

The app is rated suitable for ages 9 and above. It does not knowingly collect any data from children. Because no personal data is collected by the app itself, there is nothing to delete or request.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
